Ipad 2: Details and rumors about the new Ipad

Rumors comply about the Ipad 2. Although many rumors aren’t reliable, the recent release of iOs 4.3 Beta software for developers brings up interesting facts. A couple of developers starting to dig around the iOs 4.3 software and found out little hints and clues about what is going to be included in the next Ipad. A short list of the more reliable rumors about the Ipad 2:
·         A better Display (probably 1536 x 800 pixels)
·         A better processor
·         A bigger speaker (just like the video at the end of this post)
·         A SD card slot
·         A front and rear camera for Facetime and photography.

‘Evidence’
One of the most discussed features is the display of the new Ipad. Some say a retina display will be implemented, just like the Iphone 4 (2048x1536 pixels). However, more likely is a display of 1536 x 800 pixels. Some developers found a backgroundfile of the iBooks application in the Beta software, which has a resolution of 1536 x 800 pixels.

Another point of discussion is the processor. Some say a dual core processor will be implemented. This will drastically contribute faster and better looking games and the overall performance of the iOs software.  However, there is no direct evidence for this rumor.

The rumor about the camera’s is probably the surest one, because icons of the facetime-application and camera-application were found in the Beta software. Although I don’t really see the value of a camera on the Ipad, I don’t mind that it’s going to be on it.

Impression
The video below gives an impression of the new Ipad. It isn't an official video, so the upcoming Ipad will probably differ in some aspects.

Impact Social Media unknown by Dutch companies

Hey there, this is my first blog of many to come. My name is Peter Leenen and I am an undergraduate student of the University of Tilburg (Communication and Digital Media).
With my new blog (Media Facts) I'll try to keep you interested with news and facts, which will mainly be focused on Social Media, Statistics, Marketing, Business Communication, and Corporate Identity.

First of all I'm going to start with an article about the unfamiliarity of the impact of Social Media by Dutch Companies.

Although thirds (66%) of the Dutch organizations uses social media, 44 percent finds it difficult to assess the value of social media for their organization. According to 31 percent of the organizations, the major challenge is to measure the effectiveness of Social Media. Furthermore, over eighty percent of the organizations haven't got a decent social media strategy. These are the results of a research on the usage of social media by organizations, conducted by SAS, Accenture and Platform Innovatie in Marketing (PIM).

The results shows that companies are mainly occupied with sending messages and following people. They hardly interact with their target group, while they see interaction as the most important advantage of social media.

The most important conclusion of this research is the lack of strategy that is determined by companies which are using social media.
